What the analyzer checks
This free Amazon listing analyzer grades the two text fields that matter most in search results and on the detail page: the title and the bullet points. It is rule based. It does not look up your ASIN, read reviews or estimate sales. It checks your text against published rules and common compliance problems and tells you what to change.
Title (40 points)
- 75 characters or less including spaces, the limit since July 27, 2026.
- None of the banned special characters ! $ ? _ { } ^ ¬ ¦.
- No word used more than twice.
- No promotional terms and no ALL CAPS words.
Bullet count (15 points)
Three or more bullets are needed to pass, and five earn full points. Most categories show five bullet points.
Bullet content (45 points)
- Each bullet between 10 and 255 characters.
- Starts with a capital letter and does not end with a period or exclamation mark.
- No emoji, links or ASINs.
- No restricted claims such as eco-friendly, antibacterial, antimicrobial or money back guarantee.
- No duplicate bullets.
How to read your score
| Grade | Score | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| A | 85 to 100 | No compliance problems found. Polish wording and keywords. |
| B | 70 to 84 | Minor issues, usually one long title or a missing bullet. |
| C | 55 to 69 | Several fixes needed. Start with the title. |
| D or F | Under 55 | Likely to be flagged or rewritten by Amazon. Fix the red items first. |
Writing bullets that pass
- One feature per bullet. Lead with the benefit, then the fact behind it: "Keeps drinks cold for 24 hours with double wall insulation."
- Be specific. Numbers and materials beat adjectives. "18/8 stainless steel" says more than "high quality."
- Skip claims you cannot prove. Pesticide and environmental claims are restricted on Amazon and can get a listing flagged.
- No contact details or links. Amazon does not allow URLs, email addresses or company contact information in listings.
Shortening the title
A long title is the most common reason for a low score. Since July 2026, anything over 75 characters will eventually be replaced by Amazon's AI suggestion. Use the title generator to build a 75 character version, and move extra detail into Item Highlights. Our Amazon title requirements page lists every title rule in one place.
