About ListRubric
What is ListRubric?
ListRubric is a listing grader for marketplace sellers. It checks product titles, bullets, descriptions, images and keywords against the published rules of Amazon, Walmart.com, TikTok Shop and Shopify, and tells you exactly what to fix.
Why we built it
In July 2026 Amazon cut product titles to 75 characters and added a 125 character Item Highlights field. Thousands of sellers suddenly had titles that were too long, and the rules were spread across several Seller Central pages. ListRubric puts those rules in one place and checks a listing in seconds.
How the checks are built
- Official sources first. Every rule comes from public seller documentation: Amazon Seller Central announcements and style guides, Walmart Marketplace Learn, TikTok Shop Academy and the Shopify Help Center. Each tool page links its sources.
- Rules and recommendations are labeled. When a check is our own recommendation rather than a marketplace rule, the page says so.
- Rule based, not guesswork. Checks are deterministic. The same title always gets the same result, and suggestions never invent product features.
- Dated and reviewed. Rules were last checked on October 16, 2026. When a marketplace changes a rule, we update the checker and the date on the page.
