Sports and outdoors specific tips
- Lead with the spec shoppers filter by. Weight for dumbbells and kettlebells, thickness for yoga mats, length for foam rollers, temperature rating for sleeping bags and capacity in liters for backpacks.
- Say single, pair or set. Dumbbell and kettlebell shoppers compare price per pound, so state whether the listing is one weight, a pair or a set, and make it match the box.
- Ratings and certifications need proof. Only put a temperature rating, waterproof rating or safety certification in the title when your product testing supports it. Bike helmets sold in the US must meet the CPSC bicycle helmet standard, so keep that documentation ready.
- Fix titles before demand moves. In Helium 10 data pulled October 19, 2026, monthly searches for dumbbells were up 30% and sleeping bag up 25% over the prior 30 days. Fitness gear is also a common New Year purchase, so update titles before January.
- Color, size and weight options usually belong in variations. Keep the parent title neutral and let each child listing show its own color, size or weight.
