What a TikTok Shop title should include
- Brand, if you are authorized to use it.
- Product type, the plain name of the item.
- Key features or specs a shopper compares.
- Quantity or pack size where relevant.
Example: Acme Stainless Steel Gym Water Bottle 32 oz with Leak Proof Lid (62 characters).
What to leave out
- ALL CAPS words, emoji and decorative special characters.
- Promotions: sale, discount, free shipping, limited time, buy now.
- Other platforms and stores, such as Amazon or Walmart.
- Seller names, URLs and contact details.
- Subjective or unverified claims: best, number one, top rated.
- Size, color and stock wording. Those belong in variations, not the title.
Capitalization
Capitalize the first letter of each main word. Short prepositions, conjunctions and articles such as with, and, the stay lowercase.
Why it matters
TikTok Shop rates listing quality as Poor, Fair or Good, and title problems can lower that rating or get a listing rejected in review. Clean titles also read better in the short space shown in feeds and search.
