Automotive specific tips

  • Lead with the spec shoppers compare. Resolution for dash cams, peak amps and engine size for jump starters, max PSI for tire inflators, wattage or port type for car chargers and suction power for car vacuums.
  • Keep vehicle lists out of the title. A string of makes, models and years eats your 75 characters fast. Put fitment in your vehicle compatibility data and bullets instead, and use the title for the product and its main spec.
  • Universal or vehicle specific, say which. Floor mats, seat covers and sun shades either fit most vehicles or one model. State "Universal Fit" or "Trim to Fit" only when it is true, and make it match the images and the box.
  • Use car brand names only for real fit. "Compatible with" or "for" a vehicle brand is fine when the part really fits, but never use a car maker's name as a keyword or suggest the product is official.
  • Fix titles before winter demand. In Helium 10 data pulled October 20, 2026, monthly searches for tire inflator were up 37%, wiper blades up 35%, car air freshener up 33% and dash cam up 25% over the prior 30 days. Cold weather and holiday gifting push these up, so update titles now.
  • Color, size and pack options usually belong in variations. Keep the parent title neutral and let each child listing show its own color, size or count.
